The Institute of Hawaiian Music will present a celebration of the music of Maui on April 18, 2015, Maui Nui Botanical Gardens. The theme of this event is “Aloha ‘Ia Nō ‘O Maui” (Maui is truly love), and is named after Alice Johnson’s well-known and beloved compositions.

There will be music performances all day. Food, arts, crafts and other merchandise will be available for purchase, and there will be activities for the keiki. Please check back for details.

The Institute of Hawaiian Music (IHM) mentors and trains aspiring musicians in performing, singing, composition, repertoire development, recording techniques, and marketing of Hawaiian music. Students will be taken from the beginning of their musical training to their career debut.
